More Information About the Achievement:

“To The Afterlife” is one of the achievements earned during the Day of the Dead event in World of Warcraft. To complete it, you must defeat another player wearing a Contender’s Costume.

Here are some key facts about the achievement:

• The Contender’s Costumes can only be purchased during the Day of the Dead event from Chapman for 100g each. There are 5 outfits available:

  • “Blooming Rose” Contender’s Costume
  • “Purple Phantom” Contender’s Costume
  • “Snowy Owl” Contender’s Costume
  • “Santo’s Sun” Contender’s Costume
  • “Night Demon” Contender’s Costume

• Using the costume gives you 3 special abilities that can damage other players wearing costumes:

  • Quick Punch – 10% max health
  • Strong Sweep – 20% max health in 4 yard cone
  • Jump Attack – 30% max health, leaps 7 yards

• The abilities are granted via an extra action button that cycles randomly between them.

• Duels do NOT count for the achievement, you must directly defeat the player.

• Sanctuary areas like Dalaran prevent getting credit.

• The player who lands the killing blow gets credit towards the achievement.

• There are 2 additional achievements in the series, Vientos! (20 kills) and Calavera (50 kills).

• The costumes have a 1 minute cooldown but the achievements can be completed year round, not just during the event.
